Academy 3822 is from New Zealand company Academy Patterns. Sadly, I have yet to find a date on any of their patterns, so I’m guessing this is from the 1950′s. Based on the patterns of theirs that I’ve come across, they were in operation in the 1940′s – 60′s. And I’ve been completely unable to find out anything more about them so far…. :-/
I made this top up in a blue varigated-colour chiffon, and fully lined it so it wasn’t sheer. I used an invisible zipper in the left side seam instead of the “slide fastener” (?? Anyone know what one if those is??) that the pattern called for.
More details are on my blog.

I thought I had posted here, but forgot – I made this for a K of C party from Simplicity 3237, from approx. 1950, from a mystery fabric I bought at Hobby Lobby years ago. I also hand beaded the bodice. More on my blog, http://www.adventuresbabysewing.blogspot.com.
